Purple Saturday is an annual initiative launched by the Authority of Persons with Disabilities in Saudi Arabia in 2021. It is held on the last Saturday of July each year.
The initiative improves quality of life for persons with disabilities by connecting them with meaningful commercial and service offers, while encouraging companies to make their customer experience more inclusive.
Purple Saturday creates a practical partnership between the Authority, private sector, nonprofit organizations, and public entities. The goal is to make inclusion visible in everyday shopping, service, training, and participation.
Previous editions included thousands of points of sale across Saudi Arabia, with growing Gulf participation that reflects the expanding reach of the initiative.
